Job Overview
We are seeking an exceptionally organized and detail-oriented Social Media Operations Coordinator to support a fast-moving corporate social media team. This role sits at the intersection of social media production, project management, legal compliance, asset management, and campaign execution. The Social Media Operations Coordinator will support a Senior Social Media Strategist by managing production logistics for content shoots and experiential activations, coordinating creative approvals, maintaining social media calendars, tracking asset rights, and supporting both organic and paid social campaigns.
The ideal candidate has 2-4 years of experience in corporate or agency social media coordination, project management, advertising production, or a related field. This position is particularly well suited for someone who understands the operational side of social media and can keep numerous projects, assets, approvals, deadlines, and stakeholders organized simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day social media operations across organic and paid campaigns.
- Manage operational logistics for social media content shoots and experiential activations.
- Track production schedules, project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Coordinate crew schedules, talent and creator logistics, and production requirements.
- Support talent and creator contract administration and maintain accurate documentation.
- Provide onsite coordination for content shoots or activations when required.
- Own the end-to-end internal review and approval process for social media creative.
- Route social creative, captions, influencer content, and related assets through appropriate legal, product, and agency compliance reviews.
- Track approvals and ensure required sign-offs are obtained before content is published.
- Partner with legal and compliance stakeholders to ensure creative materials meet corporate guidelines.
- Organize incoming raw assets and finalized creative materials from agencies, creators, and production partners.
- Maintain accurate records of content usage rights, licensing requirements, and talent expiration dates.
- Maintain and update the master organic social media editorial calendar.
- Coordinate scheduling and publishing requirements across social media campaigns.
- Support asset handoffs for paid media deployment.
- Track agency production and creative-build timelines to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Coordinate across strategists, creative teams, agencies, production partners, legal teams, product specialists, creators, and other stakeholders.
- Identify potential scheduling, compliance, asset, or production issues and proactively communicate risks to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Maintain highly organized documentation and project records across concurrent social initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year college degree (BA or BS).
- 2-4 years of professional experience in agency or corporate social media coordination, project management, advertising production, or a closely related field.
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, stakeholders, and deliverables simultaneously.
- Experience working with strict corporate legal guidelines, creative compliance requirements, asset compliance, and/or music and talent rights management.
- Experience with social media management platforms such as Sprinklr or comparable tools.
- Experience coordinating social media or advertising production workflows.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with creative teams, agencies, production partners, legal teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain accurate records of assets, approvals, contracts, rights, and expiration dates.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and overlapping deadlines.
