Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Asset Management Analyst to support a corporate Accounting and Finance team responsible for fixed asset accounting and lease accounting activities. This role will focus on maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, supporting audits, and driving process improvements related to asset management.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working with large asset portfolios, improving financial processes, and collaborating across Finance, Procurement, Operations, and IT teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and manage fixed asset accounting records and asset registers.
  • Record asset acquisitions, transfers, retirements, and disposals.
  • Perform depreciation calculations and ensure accurate asset capitalization.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
  • Assist with lease accounting administration and leased asset tracking.
  • Conduct asset audits and investigate discrepancies.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to capital expenditures.
  • Prepare management reporting and variance analysis.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate asset tracking and compliance.
  • Support internal and external audit requests.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Active CPA designation required.
  • Public accounting experience required.
  • 3+ years of experience in fixed asset accounting and/or lease accounting.
  • 3 to 10 years of overall accounting experience.
  • Hands-on SAP ERP experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Big 4 public accounting experience.
  • Experience supporting large corporate asset portfolios.
  • Background in process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or other asset-intensive industries.
