Project Engineer – Structural l (Industrial)
Location: Richland, WA
Pay Rate: $60hr - $75hr DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Overview:
We are hiring a Senior Structural Project Engineer to support capital projects in an industrial/manufacturing environment. This role requires hands-on involvement in both structural design and project execution across the full lifecycle, from pre-FEED through commissioning and startup.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical design experience and can also coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced EPCm environment, while remaining actively involved in the work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on structural design and analysis for industrial/manufacturing facilities
- Develop and review calculations, models, and design packages for steel and concrete structures
- Utilize structural analysis software such as SAP2000, STAAD, ANSYS, or similar
- Support projects across full lifecycle: pre-FEED, FEED, detailed design, construction, commissioning
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls teams
- Provide on-site engineering support, ensuring design intent is executed correctly
- Identify and resolve design gaps, risks, and technical issues early
- Support scope, schedule, cost, and quality tracking
- Participate in client meetings, reporting, and technical discussions
- Contribute to change management, planning, and execution strategies
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 8+ years of hands-on experience performing structural design and analysis in industrial or manufacturing environments
- Proven experience designing industrial facilities, plant structures, or heavy industrial systems
- Active, hands-on use of structural analysis software (SAP2000, STAAD, ANSYS, or similar)
- Strong working knowledge of ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI codes
- Experience supporting capital projects within EPC or EPCm environments
- Ability to work on-site in a client-facing role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- PE License (highly preferred) or ability to obtain within 3 months
- Experience in an owner’s representative role
- Background in steel structures, seismic design, and industrial frameworks
- Ability to balance technical design work with project coordination
